UnitedLoveLines (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a household companion app designed to bring partners and families closer together. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, and securely hashed password
- Profile data: chosen display color, birthday (month and day only), and household membership
- Household content: tasks, chores, grocery lists, bills, dinner plans, date ideas, gift ideas, movies, games, savings goals, love notes, notebook pages, expenses, and other content created within your household
- Photos: images uploaded to shared photo albums, stored securely in cloud storage and scoped to your household
- Location data: shared only when you explicitly enable the Location feature, visible only to household members
- Calendar access: write-only permission to add household events (bills, tasks) to your device calendar. We do not read your existing calendar entries
- Trip data: flight details, hotel bookings, packing lists, and trip photos (Premium feature)
- Drawing data: stroke data from the Live Drawing canvas, shared in real-time with your household (Premium feature)
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the app's features for you and your household
- To sync your household data in real-time across all members' devices
- To send push notifications for household activity (tasks assigned, signals sent, etc.)
- To process purchases and manage your subscription status
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: database hosting, authentication, real-time sync, and file storage
- Expo: app build infrastructure and push notification delivery
- RevenueCat: subscription and in-app purchase management
- Google Play: app distribution and billing (Android)
Each service processes only the minimum data necessary for its function and is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring that each household can only access its own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data — profile, household content, photos, and activity history — will be permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
6. Children's Privacy
UnitedLoveLines is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent for location sharing at any time through your device settings
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
